Cookie Policy

1. What Cookies & Local Storage Are

This Cookie Policy explains the small amount of browser storage that SwaggyStadium uses, and how you can control it. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device and can read back on later visits. Similar technologies, such as localStorage, let a website save small preferences in your browser without sending them to a server. We use both, but only to the limited extent described below.

2. How We Use Them

We use browser storage for exactly two purposes:

  • Strictly necessary: cookies set by our authentication provider (Clerk) so you can sign in and stay signed in securely. Without these, core account features do not work.
  • Functional / preferences: a few localStorage values that remember your choices, such as your light/dark theme, a guest session, your favorites/ watchlist, onboarding progress, and whether you have acknowledged our cookie notice.

We do not use browser storage to profile you or to build advertising audiences. See Section 4.

3. Cookie & Storage Inventory

The table below lists the browser storage the Services rely on. Clerk’s session cookies are managed by Clerk and may vary in exact name; the functional keys are set by SwaggyStadium in your browser’s localStorage.

4. What We Do Not Use

We want to be clear and honest about this. SwaggyStadium does not use:

  • Advertising or ad-network cookies;
  • Third-party analytics or tracking cookies (for example, Google Analytics);
  • Cross-site or cross-context behavioral tracking; or
  • Cookies or storage that sell or share your information for targeted advertising.

We do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies and site data from their settings, usually under “Privacy” or “Site settings.” You can typically:

  • Clear existing cookies and local storage for a site;
  • Block cookies for specific sites or all sites; and
  • Use a private/incognito window that discards storage on close.

Clearing our functional storage will reset the related preferences (for example, your theme or dismissed onboarding steps). Refer to your browser’s help pages for exact steps.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if our use of browser storage changes. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. If we ever introduce analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this Policy and provide any consent mechanism required by law before doing so.
